Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) is a private, non-profit economic development organization that has been nurturing economic growth in Chester County and the surrounding region for more than 50 years. The Council’s portfolio of business growth services includes: low-interest financing including SBA and USDA loan programs, business attraction, retention and expansion, workforce development and training, energy consulting, customized international business assistance, land and building site selection, brownfields consultation and remediation, urban redevelopment, and agricultural economic development. The Council also offers economic development services specifically designed for local municipalities and state-of-the art conference and training facilities in Eagleview.

Delaware County Commerce Center

The Delaware County Commerce Center is a one-stop shop designed to provide local businesses with the assistance that they need to develop economically. The Center oversees four different economic development boards that administer services to businesses such as management of local, state, and federal incentive programs; assistance with the search for industrial or commercial property; and aid with workforce development issues. The Center also works to retain existing companies, issue bonds, and help provide low-interest loans to eligible companies. In addition to these services, the Center provides many other opportunities that help businesses, and can respond quickly to a variety of companies’ needs.

Delaware County Community College

Since its founding in 1967, Delaware County Community College (DCCC) has been serving the educational needs of Delaware County and Chester County. Today, DCCC is the center of educational opportunity with eight locations serving 28,000 credit and non-credit students. The College serves a diverse learning community and provides students with opportunities such as the foundation for a bachelor’s degree, career preparation, lifelong learning, and corporate training. The College’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Complex consists of the state-of-the-art STEM Center for the study of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and the Advanced Technology Center for hands-on training in technical fields. The $60 million complex supports all STEM-related disciplines and prepares students for today’s high-demand jobs in a variety of science and technological fields. Delaware County Community College supports its community through community classes, customized training, youth programs, arts programming, and serves as the host of sponsored events such as job fairs, health fairs, and panel discussions.

The Kutztown University SBDC is one of 18 Small Business Development Centers in Pennsylvania and is an accredited affiliate of the national network of Small Business Development Centers. The Kutztown University SBDC provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their small business. SBDC consultants may work with entrepreneurs in confidential, one-to-one sessions to help them with a range of business issues including testing a new business proposition, shaping a business plan, investigating funding opportunities, and much more.
